A spec is easier said than typed
You know exactly what has to be in it. Two pages of it. And you have been looking at an empty document for twenty minutes, because writing it down is slower than thinking it.

- 1Tap the dictation key briefly to start the secretary, and talk.
- 2The text keeps landing in the same field, in batches, while you keep going.
- 3Stop when you are done — not when a timer says so.
What you get
No length limitA letter, a spec, a post, a report. There is no server behind this, so there is nothing to meter.
Translation as you speakSwitch between dictation and translation on the secretary panel. Speak in your language and translated passages appear in the field.
Terms over two pages165 developer terms, 37 for managers, 36 for designers. On a long dictation they save you a proofreading pass, not a word.
PunctuationSpeech models that skip punctuation make a wall of text. This one does not.
Next to what you use now
Mac dictation tools handle short replies well. Long text is a different job.
Wispr Flow$15/mo, checked 08.2026Voice goes to a server — hence the word count.
Willow Voice$15/mo, checked 08.2026The same: cloud, and a limit.
superwhisper$8.49/mo, checked 08.2026On-device, the closest of them — but the year costs less with us.
The real competitor is not any of them. It is the empty document you have been staring at for twenty minutes.
